Have been a little slack in updating this, so am going to have to cram in the a quick narrative on Uruguay and Beunos Aires as I actually am in Peru now which is the start of a whole new adventure. Well I´ll try and remember of much of it as I can any way. Once you make friends on these trips it is difficult to find time to write as you are busy exploring and having fun. Since last writing, I have travelled from the San Ignassu ruins to Salto, then to Montevideo and then on to Colonia, which are all in Uruguay before heading on to Beunos Aires. We all went out in Montevideo and danced the night away to Brazilain music, well more like being shown up by the locals. The bar-club wasnt really that big however it still had 2 policeman guarding it with guns (you dont get that at the P&P). I cant really remember Colonia as had a hangover all day. Still mine wasnt as bad as one of the girls on the trip who spent the whole bus journey feeling sick (not good with a hangover) and the whole of the day in bed. Apparently though Colonia is a world heritage site (one of 3 that we saw on the trip) All I remember was it being very cold and having a traditional meal which consisted of ham, cheese, steak, salad all piled on top of chips. Diet not going well.

Got the ferry across to BA and sung Shakara and dont cry for me Argentina to the taxi driver, who was very amused- not. Apparently Shakara is married to the presidents son here in BA. The centre of BA is home to the largest street in the world, apparently it has 14 lanes of traffic, where people stand with advertising boards when it goes to a red light. We got stuck in really bad traffic one day and an ambulance was stuck for about 20 minutes with us as no one can move. Went past the Boca stadium and to an area where all the houses are painted in bright colours (ship paint apparently). Sat and watched Tango dancers and then turned the corner and who did we see........Diego Maradonna. Couldnt believe it, he even posed for a picture with me, although he did ask for 10 Pessos for the pleasure, I dont know, maybe times are hard now!!! Oh, and he aplogised for the hand ball!!!
