Had a bit of a sleep-in because we were so tired last night. Got up about 10am to find the wind still blowing pretty strong 7 and a grey sea. The temperature is about 28C and when the sun came out it was hot but still quite a bit of cloud about. The pools were closed this morning due to extreme "slop". They opened again this afternoon after the wind eased off. Hopefully this will be a good omen for Antigua tomorrow.
We lay by the (closed) pool for a few hours sunning and reading. Our plan was to spend the afternoon finishing off our painting but after lunch I started a bit of a headache so we went back to the cabin. Bob watched Notting Hill and I took a couple of paracetemol and dozed. Woke up feeling fine so we painted in the cabin till 4pm. I have almost finished mine which is good timing as our new tutor gets on tomorrow to coach us on the final 10 days.
Went up and had tea on the back deck in the sun which was delightful. If we weren't so keen to see the girls we would be tempted to try and book on for an extra few days as there is a 4 day cruise backing on to ours which would take us over the next level of the P&O loyalty programme. Too much to do at home though.
After tea we went to the cinema and watched The Imitation Game which was absolutely excellent. Benedict Cumberbatch was superb down to the last twitch and averted gaze. We'd seen half of it before on a flight home from Malta but it had got switched off about 20 minutes before the end so it was great to see it properly this time.
A good dinner and then up onto the open top decks for a tropical dance party. All very jolly and good fun. Nice to do these things on warm nights at sea. We were all in our gaudy tropical splendour with P&O handing out flower leis. Some of the crew dressing as pirates for photo opportunities.
