Had a bit of a lazy day as for some reason we were both feeling really tired. The temperature is creeping up again and sporadically the sun was very hot, so maybe it was that, but we both had to fight to keep our eyes open at times. Often we lost the battle…..
We went to the morning art class because our afternoon one was replaced by the art exhibition. This morning we tried a painting of the Pio XI glacier. Quite tough. I was fairly pleased with mine but Bob had a Blob dis-ars-tar with his blue ice cliff. We both put 4 paintings into this sector's exhibition. Some people's work was just amazing, very professional. I am in awe of their talent. Ours are recognisable and sometimes the colours work well but they are just jolly daubs. Still, we are definitely learning something new on this voyage and hopefully it will be something to keep up once we return home.
Tomorrow we arrive in Valparaiso, our last stop in Chile and about 450 people are getting off. Not sure how many are getting on, but probably quite a few Aussies or New Zealanders on their way home. Wonder if we will notice a change in the atmosphere. I would expect it might get a bit livelier in some ways.
Rather overdue for a haircut so went along to the on board salon this evening. Quite convenient having a salon and spa on-board but the prices are quite high. Anyway, a good cut but had to make her take off lots more than she expected because of my mega thick hair.
This evening went to see the Headliners first performance of a new show based around ABBA. Full of energy and great singing and dancing as usual. Then dinner, tonight with a retired GP and his wife and a retired midwife and husband. We put the NHS to rights verbally over the meal LOl. Why are the solutions so obvious to us and so elusive to those in charge……?
