A very lazy day indeed. We didn't get up till about 9ish and then went up to art. The morning class today as we had a lunch in the afternoon. Firstly we finished off the drawing of the first painting we are going to do with the new tutor, Jack Gray. It is a young girl walking away carrying a watering can and wearing stripey dungarees and a dark green apron. Called The Little Gardener. It is difficult to draw and will be difficult to paint. Anyway, he said that we had decided that rather than go on to paint today he wanted to go over some basics that he felt some people had missed. So we had a good session on brushstrokes, paint mixing, colour washing, blending colour washes together and hard and soft edged colour. It was well worth doing and we did pick up some good new tips.
Once art was over we had to quite quickly get to the Alexandria restaurant for our World Cruise Lunch, a special thank you for those of us who have been onboard the entire voyage. As there are about 750 of us, the lunch is staged over three days. Each table is hosted by an officer and we had a lovely gentleman who manages one of the restaurants and is originally from Goa. It was lovely to talk to him and he invited us to take his parents' house in Mapusa when we are next there in January and also offered to take us around and introduce us to his contacts. I doubt we will take him up on it as he is in the north and we prefer south Goa but…… Lunch was really special with plenty of wine and champagne with each course. Afterwards we were pretty stuffed so we returned to the cabin for a "nap". That was the afternoon gone LOL.
Went up to the buffet and had a quick dinner. Chatted to Jack the new art tutor. Then we went to the Passenger Talent Show. It was very mixed. A couple of really brilliant ones and a couple of cringers and most in the middle. Brave of them to get up and do it though.

Lucy The apostrophes around 'nap' make me feel a bit ill, mother! What a difference grammar makes to a sentence...
allie Not sure what you mean! Your father has a daily powernap! guttersnipe
