Hi All

Just a quick update from our trip to Melbourne 19th - 24th April. We had a great time we stayed in a hostel in the centre on the city, really near all the sites. We didn't have a great time on our first night the hostel facilities were great but we didn't get any sleep the first night as the hostel was too noisy - so we moved rooms the next night and it was better. We went on a walking tour around the city and it was fab - we saw lots of sights that we wouldn't have found ourselves. They had shipped Captain Cook's family home from Yorkshire over to Melbourne and rebuilt brick for brick. We went on a tour on the Great Ocean Road - the coast line was fab it was an amazing tour we went on a fab forest walk. We also did one of the best events in Oz which was to visit Philip Island and we watched penguins leave the sea at sunset and enter the grass lands - all natural it was one of the best sights I have ever seen - they were fairy penguins (so small). We also visited the Eureka tower and went on the edge which was a lift that went out 88 floors with a glass floor over the side of the building!!

I am in Bega South East Coast now- about 2 hours away from the capital visiting Mel's friends (Ellen's) parents house we arrived yesterday (24th April) and are being made to feel very welcome. I will write an update as soon as possible.

Still having a great time but looking forward to seeing you all soon - in about 10 days or so :-)
