Hi All

We arrived in Sydney at 6.30am on the 3rd April after an overnight flight, we were very tired - however we were kindly picked up from the airport by Mel's friend Ellen and her boyfriend Cane. We went to hunters valley and stayed with their family for a few days. We were treated like family they had a great country house, we had lots of BBQ's and we went wine tasting. They had two great kids and we had a ride on Richards Harley Davidson bike it was lots of fun.

Then we came back to Sydney and stayed in a youth hostel in the center, we saw the harbour bridge, opera house, the rocks, the blue mountains and went to bondi beach in the last 4 days. It was great fun especially being shown around all the great places by the locals and they had a car so it saved a lot of time taking buses etc. We left Sydney and moved to Cairns today 9/4/08 - but I will give you an update on that once we have been here for a while. We will be returning to Sydney for a few days at the end for final sights - it is a great city :-)

I had to visit the doctors the last day in Sydney I have got shingles - the Dr was great but to see him and the medication cost me a pretty penny about 135pounds - but I really needed it as it was in my face - I am completely on the mend now and looking forward to discovering carins and the great barrier reef!!
