22/10: So - I had posted this blog, but it seems in my attempt to get rid of the duplicates (I dont know why that is happening, hmph!) I deleted both copies of this blog - Grrr! Thankfully it was short and though I did not save it to my computer file, I can rewrite it relatively easily, as most of it was taken from my journal.

Today was hot, overcast and humid. The air seemed hazy with moisture. We've gone camping and the woods offer some cool relief. Late this afternoon I took a nap. The soft doze listening to cicadas and an occassional bird chirp became full sleep. Gradually the sun dipped below the treeline and the cool breeze wafting through the tent woke me. As I gazed up and out the 'window' I saw between spindley pinetree trunks the pinked sky. It inspired me to move. I grabbed my camera and snapped a pic. I wondered at the quiet beauty as the sky turned the mauve blue of twilight. The chill was slight, but enough when combined with the mozzies to slip into long pants and a long sleeve shirt.

So, while I was distracted by the sky, Diesel took advantage of me vacating my bed. Check the photos in the Camping album, and you will see what I mean.
