Well last day in New Zealand have really enjoyed it went whale watching in Kaikoura in south island. Got some nice pictures of there whales as the dived. Got the ferry from Picton, where there was a Scottish pub owned by a couple who went to Arrochar 20 years ago. Early morning very was beautiful the sounds out to the Cook Strait were so picturesque even in the rain. The ferry had a scottish flag, but was called the Santa Maria. Did not stop in Wellington very wet. Called at Masterton and said hello to Ian Stewart who my parents know. The town before there was called Greytown and was very pretty looked like a settlers town and had a St Andrews church my first in New Zealand. Saw one the next day in Cambridge too. Went to Napier on Hawkes Bay famous for wine. The beach was volanic dark stones. Then onto Rotarua where the thermal springs are. Took a walk round the bubbling, steaming parks all volcanic some smelled of sulphur. Went to the buried village covered by lava from an erruption in the 1800s. Then up the road to Auckland where we went up the skytower the highest in the southern hemisphere. What a view. Said good buy to squid the campervan. Now getting ready for Chile. Going back in time leave at 6 pm tonight and get there at 1pm today. As Chere sang if I could turn back time well you can and get jetlag in the process. Think jan is coping with me and my mad ways, she has not told me to go away yet. Fell strange going to South America so soon. My Spanish is 0 so it will be very interesting
