Well I have flown to Rio already with TAM brasilian airline who are the sponsors of the international team and they fly them too. We took a taxi from the airport past favellas down the coast where there were big oil tankers to a little port where we got a ferry to Ilha Grande. It is a beach resort right on the sand with palm trees and jungle, but 2 ice cream self service cafes and 3 cake stalls they love cakes hear so I am right at home. We went on a boat trip and learned how to make caphirinias, alcohol from sugar cane lime ice and sugar all shakin together. It has been cloudy and rainned a bit but yesterday afternoon the sun came out for 3 hours so sat on the beach watching the world go by, thinking why am I having to go back to Scotland and then i was listening to Nelly Furtardo and the song came on All good things have to come to an End. Apart from it being lovely to see everyone I have no desire to come back yet. Anyway still have Rio to enjoy. Think Jan is looking forward to going home she has just told me how many kilos I am allowed to carry home, so maybe I will send the bags and leave me in Brasil.
