went to boston for my birthday and to be honest its a pleasure to spend a bit of time outside of NY. the pace of life here is slower, the girls are prettier, the streets are cleaner and everyone seems considerably richer! ive brought along a friend from work who's NY attitude stands out like a sour thumb - he nearly got into a fight n the tram just going through the turnstyles - i'm not sure he likes it here.... on saturday we went out for some drinks with a couple fo danish girls who are staying at our hostel. they were good fun and we managed to do a bit of a crawl even though i left my ID in NY. our hostel is full of really wierd people (and a lot of gays) and while it is very nice in boston i was glad to get back to my luxury apartment in Queens. On Sunday we did a 40 mile bike ride around Boston which was much longer than expected! we wee the only people who didnt seem to be professional cyclists and we looked rather silly on our range ental bikes and no helmets. the final insult was when it rained for the last 10 miles.... my firend (who was wearing jeans and leather loafers - very NY) was not amused....
