Right to start things off, before anyone else asks for more photos! we have had almost as much trouble with the internet here as we did in Thailand! We definately can do it now but it takes half an hour to upload 40 pics and were paying by the minute here! we could eat dinner on less! anyway weve decided that we will add at least 40 photos a day just to keep everyone happy!

We havent blogged in a while because we have been busy sorting ourselves out with hostels etc. so...

We arived in Bangkok in the early hours of friday morning (5 o'clock to be precise - after no sleep whatsoever) Luckily our hostel checked us in (the one that canceled us on our first night in thailand) so it was straight to bed for us.

later that day we staggered out of our room and went sight seeing to the grand palace and Wat Phra Kaeo which were amazing! ali had her boobs out (not litterally) so we werent allowed in at first but a nice thai smok soon sorted that out (any excuse for ali to buy clothes!) Later that day we did some shopping in Koasan road (cheapy cheapy style) I tried to explain to ali that even though it was cheap that didnt mean that she could buy more. consequently Pete weve shipped a box of goodies back to you, although most of it is ali's clothes (because she overpacked) that doesnt mean your allowed to open it...it could take up to 4 months to reach you anyway as it is being sent on a freighter ferry! All this shopping was thirsty work so we stopped at our local watering hole for a bevvy. we couldnt leave thailand without sampling one of the famous "Buckets" so that was next on our agenda, followed by three more rounds of cocktails!

After a few too many drinks we wandered down koasan road just to bump into a Tuk Tuk man who offered to take us to a ping pong show, making popping noises with his mouth as he did so! he assured us he would wait for us afterwards so we had a means of getting home-dont trust tuk tuk men!

The Ping pong show....we dont really know what to say about it!!! I had to buy ali a few whiskeys for some dutch courrage. unfortunately we couldnt take a camera in so we will leave it to your imagination!

we both woke up with a hangover the next morning and off to Oz it woz!

after 2 long tiring flights we arrived at melbourne airport with nowhere to stay! so we spent about three hours phoning around hostels but most were fully booked due to the Grand Prix! not a good start when youve been up for 32 hours. Finallly it all got sorted and we had a place to stay! we spent most of the day sleeping and trying to find somewhere for the next night. were now settled for tonight and tomorow and ready for our pick up for the bruce trail on thursday in St Kilda (a lovely beachy part of melbourne) we should be arriving in sydney on sunday after a 3 day trip by bus!

We are meeting up with Neil and sheila tonight to get ali's card, we will both give them a hug from you Cynthia!
