Sorry we haven't updated you for a while! Not had much time as we've been on the move pretty much since we left Vang Vieng in Laos. Spent more time there than we planned, mainly tubing and drinking whisky buckets. After Vang Vieng we went to a place called Luang Phrabang. Didn't spend long here but managed to visit a really pretty waterfall. We then decided to take the slow boat along the Mekong river to the Thai border as even though it took two days it seemed more appealing than a 16 hour overnight coach journey along windy roads. We didn't realise we we're going to be sat on uncomfortable wooden benches for the whole journey though! Luckily we stopped at a small village to sleep but the whole place was run on a generator and we we're in complete darkness by 9pm!!

When we finally arrived back in Thailand we had a long bus journey to Chiang Mai, a city in the North of Thailand. We both really liked it there. We made some cool friends who showed us a fun little bar that played live music. One of them owned a little leather shop and Jen got a bag made specially for her. We also went to a place called Tiger Kingdom and got to play with 2 month old tiger cubs!!! Very cute!!

We then decided to go to a little town up in the hills called Pai as a couple of people had said how good it was. Me and Jen weren't very impressed though as there wasn't really much to do if you're not into trekking. We did ride an elephant there though! A great expereince but VERY uncomfortable. We left Pai after a couple of days and spent another night in Changmai before heading to Bangkok on an overnight bus. Spent our last two days in Bangkok shopping as we wanted to replace the clothes we've been wearing for 3 months before we went to Oz!

And now we're in Brisbane! We arrived late last night after a 12 hour flight. Not done much today except more shopping! Planning on going to a theme park tomorrow called Dreamworld and we've got lots of BBQ's planned for the next couple of weeks!
