Well what a fantastic day y'day! Probably our best day so far as we had a full day of white water rafting down the zambezi river. The scenery was amazing as it was in a huge gorge and then the rapids..... oh my god they were massive! About 30 rapids in total going from grade 2 to 5 (there was a grade 6 but even the instructors will not attempt that one!)

We capsized twice and at one point thought i wa gonna die! Took me ages to surface from the current then when i eventually did, i came up under the boat, so had to take another deep breath to get dragged back under to get back out! Jumped back in though and got ready for another one! On some of the more tame rapids we jumped out on purpose so we could float down them in our life jackets (well i say float, was more like dragged n swirled about!) scary but good fun. At one point a helicopter flew down into the gorge only about 15ft above us! What a sight, although our raft nearly blew over! At the end of the day we all had a few beers and a meal with the instructors. Woke up today covered in bruises and my arms feel like they are gonna drop off from all the rowing, not to mention my hand! (good job its my left one!)

Today most of our group leaves us. The's only me stephen and 2 others from this group going all the way down to cape town. Were getting 7 more joining us later on today though. Met one of them y'day.(bit morngy!!)

Leave for Botswana tomorrow (probably with a truck full of missfits!) So making the most of our last night with our old group and going on the booze cruise again as we had such a laugh on the last one (minus the injuries this time tho eh!?) Just hope its not a long drive tomoz otherwise mr morngy and crew are going be having a face full of carrots for breakfast!!! Ha

Most of the group are travelling round the world too so hopefully going to meet up with a few of them (theres one couple called james and suzie that are going to live in NZ for 8 months, he's off to play rugby there so hopefully going to go stop with them cos they are a good laugh)
