We´re back in Cusco following the Inca trail... it´s chucking it down... and England have about 2 mins left to save their qualification dreams! Will update with all the interesting stuff from the trail asap... needless to say it was bloomin marvellous, the weather was kind and we had a superb group of fellow trekkers.

So we had finally arrived in the city where we will start our Inca Trail. Before then, we have 4 days to discover the city and see the local attractions! We had been given a few warnings about what to expect in Cusco from other travellers, both before we left England and in the past few weeks... they were all correct! Jo & I could probably go on for hours about how much we enjoyed the Andean Explorer train. I´ll try not to get carried away here... We decided to go for the 1st Class ticket. It´s considerably more expensive (about 6 times more!) than the Backpacker class, but after the journey I think it was great value for money... you can walk between carriages, we had a bar carriage, an observation carriage, good toilets, big comfy armchair seats, tables with...
