3/6/09: Arrived about lunchtime in Krabi but we were actually staying in more popular beach resort nearby so got free bus to Ao Nang- it dropped us off at our hotel. Nice room with fridge, en-suite, tv, air-con and hot water!! Near to beach and shops, etc. We got some lunch- Subway!! Then went to beach to enjoy sunshine!! Not as nice a beach as some places but still cool! Come back and I went for massage- very nice- 300 baht for milky massage! Then we headed out and had mexican for tea. Walked along the shops and lil alex got a t-shirt!

4/6/09: We went out for breakfast then headed for beach!! Walked along to another bay before coming back and settling on our beach. Lil alex didnt feel very well so headed back early afternoon. I stayed for a while- gave 300 baht to some woman collecting for childrens education charity- I am a bit of a sucker but thought I enjoyed their country so should give something back! Lil alex had been a bit sick but we still headed out for dinner. Had pizza!! We mooched around.

5/6/09: Went for buffet breakfast then went to beach- bought the Sun cos it advertised the new Big Bro contestants but then that section was missing!! Walked along beach in other direction up and around a big cliff to another beach next to a posh resort- we had to sign in to enter beach!! On the way back we stopped in stream with rope swing!! We walked back and chilled on the beach then lil alex headed back while I went to get a massage- I was stopped on the beach by a fat, ugly woman offering massages- I felt sorry for her so agreed. I paid 400 baht (8 pounds) and got: a herbal oil body massage, a face massage with creams and scrubs, a manicure (yes my nails are almost long enough for it to be worthwhile) and it included a 100 baht tip!! I come back and met lil alex. We had showers. Then we headed out for dinner- got an Indian which was rather expensive compared to most meals here but worth the money!! Then we went souvenir shopping and got a few bits between us before heading back- found a little lizard in room which lil alex accidently killed trying to get out :(

6/06/09: We were up about 9- we got ready and packed then went out to grab some breakfast before checking out- left bags at reception because we are not getting picked up until 3pm. We then have an overnight bus journey to Bangkok and will be arriving about 6am!! So it saves us money on a nights accomodation- hopefully we will be able to sleep on bus!! Until we get the bus we are going to sit in the sun by the beach and enjoy the last beach time we will have!! Less than a week now! Sat by the beach for a couple of hours but lil alex was restless! We got some dinner then went to hostel and waited for bus. A minibus picked us up and took us to an office on the main road where we waited for an hour until another minibus come and took us to Surat Thani- we arrived there about 6 and had to wait until 7.30 to get real bus to Bangkok! Luckily there was a snack hut! I had finished lil alexs book Defiance today- it was alright- more like a factual account than story book and a bit repititive but very interesting. I then started reading SLumdog Millionaire which I got from a book exchange in Koh Phi Phi- its gonna be good I think! A huge coach come and picked us up- we sat upstairs and the luggage and toilets were downstairs. It was quite empty so everyone could spread out and the chairs reclined right back!! Plus they gave us blankets and put on two films- I watched the first one- Body of Lies then I went to sleep. I dozed quite a lot.
