17/04/09: We arrived about 5- a 7 hour journey!! We walked to hostel- quite a walk!! It was more of a campsite with hundreds of caravans and tents and more families and old couples than backpackers. We were in a 4 person dorm in a porta-cabin but we were the only ones in the room which was cool. We had to use the campers toilet blocks but they were cleaner than most hostels. We dumped stuff then walked along path at edge of campsite beside the river to the town- all the big rocks had pictures and messages painted on them. We got a Subway (again) for tea which we ate on the jetty. We come back and read and chilled and crashed about 10.30.

18/04/09: Got up about 8.30. Had shower. Weather showery and cloudy. We checked out but left bags in reception. We got a breakfast Subway. Then I brought some toiletries and earrings. lil alex got a t-shirt for $7.50. We didnt really know what to do cos weather was crap. We got hot chocolate in cafe by the river. Then it stopped raining so we walked to a nearby koala hospital- there was 10 injured and sick koalas- it was alright for free. Then the sun come and so we sat and watched the surfers and read. We went to food court for dinner- I had a vegi crepe, lil alex had chinese. We went back to beach for a while. I finished my Jodi Picoult- I enjoyed it. We went back and picked up our bags before walking to bus station about 4.30. Bus arrived at 5. I slept for a bit. Then we had a meal break about 7.30. We shared chips. We watched 'Meet the Parents' on the bus afterwards. Then I did puzzles and we finally arrived in Sydney about 11.15pm.
