3 days have gone so fast in LP but they have been relaxed and lovely. Yesterday I shared food, local whiskey and attempted to break the language barrier as I sat with some chaps in an alley on the way up the mountain. We discussed what tattoo the guy should have on his other forearm which would be as good as 'heritage'.
The day before I joined a crew on a tuk tuk up to THE waterfall which was gorgeous as you will see and joined Caitlin and Pat from the VIP boat to climb to the top where we waded and chatted. In LP there is a curfew at 11:30pm so the party moves onto a bowling alley on the outskirts of town where I teamed up with Morgan (who treated us to whiskey) and we lost terrifically! Such a fantastic night was followed by no hangover but after booking my awesome trek I bumped into tho San Fran ladies and I heard their tales or fleeing motorbikes, dodgy stomachs and new wooden bowls for the summer house. These are are challenge to carry around south east Asia but have multiple uses ranging from a bath tub to a giant chip/crisp bowl.
This bed is thin upon the springs and grating through my sleeping bag but is probably better than tomorrow's hut and the day after's sleeping bus. Checked out the sunset from the top of the mound in the centre of town this evening and enjoyed the pleasure of seeing the Argentinians again.
