I was all on my own some last night when I experiences the museum-club experience of Nightlife at California institute of sciences. I imagine all museums are way more awesome with music pumping, a drink in your hand and no kids around! I wondered if the fishes in the aquarium were listening to the music.
There was also a rainforest, living roof, fake earthquake (not so special) a game where 5 players try to join the 5 continents together to where they were 200000 years ca. I even enjoyed and learned something about the human race.
Fact: The earliest humans had already walked down the West of South America before coming close to touching the British Isles!!!
And of course I went to the shop before I left to come home at 9 30.
PS The Nightlife way of doing the CaAS cost $12... Day entry is $30!
Yesterday day I found Delores field/park (see photo) with impressive views of the city roofs. I use my instinct since it was t marked on the map and came across it quite easily. I realised just how far I had walked listening to Michael Mcintyre, laughing my head off and probably confusing passers by, from the hostel by the Trans-America pyramid building. The view was from the opposite side and probably the same distance. The traffic lights were against me so I found myself traversing the road at each intersection to pass time!
I practiced on my board yesterday, with some improvement and may attempt some down hills today if I recon I can stop. I imagine going sideways like on skis may be the key to slowing down... Easier said than done. I learned not to do it in sloppy shoes, warm boxers, hoody and hot shoes since, you guessed it, I was sweating like a pig! Eww.
Tomorrow: Time to get a car and slowly head towards Lyn and maybe go for a hike.
