Sydney,
Day 1
After thirty-two hours of flight I´m finally here! The sun is shining, the temperature is steadily creeping upwards to over thirty degrees and I´m absolutely exhausted from the flight. I took the cheapest I could find within the allotted time and ended up with a 6099kr (swedish) ticket that has now taken me to Sydney, which is perfect for the route I have in mind!
After a quick breakfast at the airport (46kr) I´m taking a trip around central Sydney to check out the opera house and the city in general whilst getting a few preparations and errands done; I have to get the 3000km bus card (3695kr) ((And yes, it will be worth the price tag)) and find the bus station to Blue Mountains before it gets too late, but I´ve still got plenty of time to look around and have some lunch and then dinner (total: 201kr), down at the harbor before I take the evening bus to the hostel. I´ve managed to pre-book a dormitory bed for a very good price: 387kr for two nights including three meals for one day. I´ll sleep there this evening and use tomorrow as a "recovery day" for my (very) heavy jet-lag, just spending the day along the one-day return trails. The next day I´ll be of for my hike to Goulburn!
Enough planning. At the moment, I´m just going to relax with a walk down the beautiful Sydney harbor were the sun has just set! ;-)
