Day 43 started off again by watching the cricket but unfortunately after an hour or so and England were putting in yet another poor performance I decided to head down to Pitt Street and see what I would see on my way walking to the main Sydney Harbour. Along Pitt Street there was a wide selection of different shops ranging from high end retailer brands right through to your average souvenir stall. Also along the street you could see the highest tower in Sydney which supposedly offers the greatest panoramic view of Sydney Harbour and the rest of the city, so I will have to see how much it is and possibly go up it. Martin you will also be glad to hear that I found the Radisson Blu Hotel in Sydney and still not as good as your Cardiff Hotel but it still had a very posh interior, but probably completely inferior to the one you are at in Kuwait at the present moment in time. Once I reached the end of Pitt Street, there it was, probably the most typical scenic view anyone in the world would associate with Australia, and that was the sheer enormity and size of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. Once I had walked around the Opera House having taken quite a few pictures of both that and the bridge I headed to the outside Opera House Bar and sat drinking a schooner of Cider admiring the view and still not quite actually believing I was there. I feel very lucky to be here and have a couple of months to explore this great city and experience all it has to offer, and hopefully find a nice job that will pay lots of money! That evening I caught the train from Central Station which is a two minute walk from the flat and caught the train to Bondi Junction but getting off at King's Cross to meet up with an old friend of mine who I knew in Aberystwyth University who is currently on a placement year over here in Sydney before going back to Aberystwyth Uni next year to complete his final year studies. So Mohit was very kind in meeting me at the station and said if we fancied grabbing a bite to eat then he knew a great place that sells $10 rump steaks with two sides and a sauce, so I was not going to say no to that offer. Over the course of the evening it was great to catch up with Mohit about his time over here and what he has been doing to keep himself busy, and after a couple of beers he showed me the apartment that he has been staying in for his time over here and then took me to these AMAZING Icecream parlour where you could get a chocolate coated cone with a scoop of Belgian Chocolate Chip Icecream for $6, so a great end to a pleasant evening, shortly after our Icecream Mohit walked me back to the train station just to make sure I didn't get lost in King's Cross at that time of night, so I was very grateful to him, and I look forward to the next time we meet up again which I don't think will be far away. Anyway going to sleep now so check out some of the photo's I took from today, I hope you all like them and I'll add some more plus a new blog tomorrow. Night everyone.
