Hello everyone,

This blog is a little inaccurate actually as we are now back in Auckland Airport between Fiji and L.A. waiting for our connecting flight. Internet in Fiji was as laid back as the people i.e. it worked a lot less than half of the time! We had a good time there relaxing at 'The Beachouse'. Had a little hickup on the first day as they overcharged us, even though I realised they got me to sign saying the money would be put on a tab for us to use at the resort. Then after I signed they changed their minds and it took an hour of 'blood from a stone' arguing to get our money back. But once they caved they were very apologetic and got us a round of drinks to say sorry, so a happy ending, and we're pleased we managed to deal with it, even after a long flight and being very tired. After this first day trouble we settled in easily and made friends with a few of the locals and fellow tourists. We loved reading in the hammocks on the beach. We had a great horse ride right along the beach, and actually rode the horses to a cash point as we had to get out money, that was cool. Saw lots of tropical fish and got lots of snorkelling in. We also did some sea kayaking! Electricity was also on 'Fiji time' as they call it, meaning it doesn't tend to arrive on time, so we had to shower in the dark this morning before catching our early morning flight out here. Still at least there was plenty of hot water, and if anyone is thinking of staying in Fiji on a budget 'The Beachouse' was great value for money.

P.S. We're still trying to upload the skydive and bungy videos. They appear to have gone up on the website, but I myself can't get them to play properly so I'm making some enquiries with offexploring.com.
