Would like to add that when I first started noting these stories I wasnt the biggest believer but after a week with him I'm a believer - were were shown photos of big fish and a boat. He was a well travelled man who genuinely took good care of us all. I would recommend his trip in a flash.

The movie "the perfect storm" was based on his boat. He said the captain went crazy during the storm, his two brothers were on board who locked him in his room. The engines stopped working, something to do with starting the smaller engine which allowed them to start the bigger one. They sailed three days in the storm.
The captain then went on to write the book which then became a movie.

Bought chain for his boat off a murderer. He bought the chain from a guy. Later got a phone call saying this guy was trying to strangle a man on the island caye caulker. The man fled in his boat. Police searched and a while later found and discovered he was wanted for murdering sailors and selling their boats.
This guy now has a murdered sailors old boats rope on aboard.

Caught a record barracuda. The barracuda was following him so he decided to shoot it with his spread gun, this didn't kill him straight away so he had to drag and fight him off until he got to his boat half a male away.

Knew a sailor who was in guatemala Carribean with his daughter when they got attacked by pirates. The man was killed by the pirates and the daughter survived.

He wears a sock on his right leg because a vein doesn't work. He owns a sword he keeps by bed and an old fashioned spy glass.
