Went up north to Waipu. This area was settled by people from Nova Socita (yes the home for Anne Murray) so there is a lot of Scottish influence. Tomorrow January 1 is the start of their Highland Games. Really enjoyed visiting Waipu. A little language lesson now. Wai is Maori for water.
