Day two:
Today we headed to the jungle, it was a 5 hour bus journey along windy mountain roads, but the views were absolutely spectacular; all kinds of trees, waterfalls and rivers.
We're staying in the Amazon, about 45 mins away from a town called Tena, in this beautiful little wooden hut that you have to follow a secret path to get to, currently everyone is chilling in the hammocks in the main area (yes, there's hammocks) and writing their journals, kinda makes me wish I was doing this in a pretty book, but to be honest my rucksack is already 4 times the size of everyone else's (I am not good at packing it seems) Everyone else is like 'I only have one pair of leggings' and I'm like I BROUGHT SIX.
So lunch was soup, and then rice+lentils+plantoon which are these cool banana mango type things that everyone seems to eat here, it's quite a struggle for my fussy eating skills, but I went to wagamamas last week and didn't order Katsu curry, so after that I feel as if I can handle anything.
We went on a hike through the Amazon, and saw some of the biggest f***ing spiders. There are these leaves that have white pollen on the back, so our guide slapped them onto our clothes to make patterns

S Bradley A diary of exceptional quality. I've heard of these Foaming Spiders before in an ancient explorers manuscript.
