Well 1770 is through lots of national parks. Turns out its miles and miles between petrol stations and we were going to run out any minute with 50km left so we made the executive decision to sleep outside a petrol station until morning. Good move!
Drove into 1770 lovely little town..
Then I had a surf lesson...$17 for a 3 hour lesson, you can't grumble at that...however...
It's a lot harder than it looks! Mart was being a big woman and didn't join in. I was pretty terrible at it. It hit me on the head more than anything and I landed really funny on my knee which I'm sure is bruising nicely. 3 hours in..I stood. It may have only been for 2 seconds but that still counts!!!
I was starving after this so we finally made use of the free gas bbqs that all the beaches have. After last nights traumatic ordeal with the kangaroos we decided that we'd leave 1770/Agnes waters and head on down Hervey Bay for a look around and then onto rainbow beach as we need to check in for frazer Island tomorrow :) radio signal is pretty shocking so i tend to sing more than anything. Mart says it keeps him nice and entertained.
