Last few days..... Last night at Ma's snake camp tonight and I'm just sitting in the dark outside with the mossies nibbling while we look out for the Owls that swoop overhead screeching. There's barn owls and eagle owls. It's made the boys last few days very special as we've got very close for photos. In the snake park there are some rescued birds that can't fly, a goshawk, vulture, owls and as the boys run about in there every night with torches. I just tell mys...

The way back to Arusha.... After deciding we didn't want to drive back the way we came, the only option was to leave the car in mwanza and change the tickets to fly to Dar. Which after going to the fast jet office isn't an option, so we think the best way is the expensive way and to pay to drive back through the Serengeti and out of kleins gate in the north. It is virtually next to Kenya but that's next year... We set off and halfway to the gate monty starts ...

The yacht club ..... We spent 2 nights in the treehouse and I'm sorry to move really, but the yacht club is open now and we met them yesterday and sorted out camping. So we have arrived and setup camp right next to the lake, perfect spot with boats moored nearby. The weather is so hot, we had some clouds bubble up and rumble with thunder but it seems to have passed us by. Theo's tummy is still not right and I wish I could have it instead of him.... I hope he will...

Leaving Arusha After trying to decide what to do next as all our plans were upside down from the start, we costed out going to Pemba Island and Zanzibar which was my top choice... But sadly it was so expensive with all of us, no concession prices for kids at all on this small planes. Would have been $2000.... So no exotic island for me! So we decide to hit the road and head to lake Victoria which had been an original destination. Kids are sad to leave snake park ...
