Thankfully I am a little less sore this evening and my stamina is really improving. Yesterday I did my own thing, at my own pace and this meant I did about twice as much as I did the last 2 days. One of the best things was we had had over 7 inches of new snow over night and they hadnt groomed all the runs. So I spent the morning playing with the deep powder and practicing all the things I had learnt in my lesson.
In the afternoon I skied over 3 peaks, which was tiring but very enjoyable. By 2.30 the snow was coming in so I decided to end my day on a high note and I went for a St Patricks day drink. The snow was coming in so fast that they had to bring some of the kids down on the snow mobiles. It was insane, one minute it was clear and the next it was nearly a white-out.
Of course St Patrick's day was insane. Everyone on the slopes had their green hats/scarves/ties/head gear or anything else. I had a quick apres ski drink before heading back to the hostel and then headed out to an "irish bar" just down the road. It was probably the least Irish bar i have ever seen. They weren't even playing Irish music.
Today I had a full days lesson and managed to ski until 3.45pm. It just shows how fast my legs are getting used to the skiing, and how much Im improving (according to my instructors) so I am not putting as much pressure on my muscles. It was a great day and I was learning how to ride moguls and steeper slopes.
Hope everything is good at home!
