HiEveryone
This is Kirsty and Sue blogging today
As you all know we have passed our time in Niagara but we have to plot it on our map.
We are in fact in the BIG APPLE. It is very BIG! And Loud!
It is impossible to open the window and not hear either a horn being tooted or a siren! Its quite cool!
So....since we have been back in New York we have done so much already. On our first day back we headed down to see the skyline from the staten Island Ferry. We also had our first glimpse of the lady herself. After the ride to and from staten island...we queued for ages to buy tickets to go and see her but by the time that we got our tickets we decided that it was too late to get on liberty island and came back the next morning. The security to get on to the island was quite strict which is not really that suprising. We went and visited the lady who was very impressive. We took an audio guide which was very informative.
We took a second stop on ellis island which was the immagration island for many years. We also took an audio quide which was very informative.
We have also been to see ground Zero (as my mum wrote on the wall) which was a very humbling experience. There was a nice dedication centre there.
We have also been to China town where we had a nice evening meal and did a little shopping.
Yesterday we all went to Grand Central Station which was really quite impressive. The main hall is just as you could imagine from the photos. The station is also filled with shops, bars and restaurants. Outside we saw our first close up of the Crysler building which was lovely and gold and glistened in the sunshine. It was also MASSIVE! Dad fell in love with Lexington avenue. Which was bustling and busy.
Talking of bustling and busy we have also been in time square by day and night which is very very impressive.
We are just off now to see our ball game!
miss you all
Love you all
