Becky had an early cab to the Airport to catch her flight back to Singapore and we took it easy getting up and rolling. We decided that although we weren't in love with Phuket that we also were not crazy about exerting the effort required to make our way economically to another area. To boot we had no real game plan and no schedule; so why not sleep in a bit?
We settled on checking out another part of Phuket for the night since we'd been sort of hiding from it in the peaceful and beautiful refuge of the Marriott. We got a cab to Karon Beach which is a few kilometers south of Surin and a lot more lively, although not as lively as the slightly seedy beach town of Patong that we had to ride through to get to Karon.
We had secured accommodation for the
