So I made it to Kuala Lumpur wher I spent a few days waiting for a friend from home to get her arse over here. She arrived Christmas day and we spent 2 nights in the Marriot Renaissance where we were upgraded to a premier suite which was basically an apartment. The bed could have accomodated 10 people easily and it had a matress made of magic.
Christmas day was all about celebrating Christmas and we went out for a meal in a shopping mall which would put anything in the UK to shame. Designer shops galore and some really great restaurants. We ended up eating a plate full of MSG (with Chicken), and ate about 2 mouthfulls before it felt like our stomachs were going to pop.
Boxing day was spent lying in bed pretty much as Jess (my friend) had hit the Jet Lag hard so we didn't get out until about 3pm but we managed to get around a few sights including a bird park which has the largest free flight aviary in the world. How we dodged all the bird s*** I have no idea because it looked like it was raining with the stuff.
Then we met some monkeys who I would have loved to have booted in the face with the biggest steel toe-capped boots I could find. You think monkeys are cute until you meet vicious little cretins. I only took a photo of one and it properly scowled at me as though I was papparazi. I thought to myself "you're not even famous you furry little p****quot; and so I took another. To which another monkey joined in on the assault and gave more scowling. I decided that these monkeys were female and obviously on their period and walked away before we got into an arguement. We later saw a little girl get bitten by one because she tried to pet it like any normal little kid strokes a cat...by pulling it's tail (what is it with kids and pulling tails). Once she got bit I was waiting for THE RAGE to set in like 28days later and watch this girl turn into a lunatic on the spot so I stood next to the biggest brick in sight incase I needed to dash it at the little girl and break her face (I didn't need to so it was a bit of an anti-climax). And after all that, I only had flip flops on so I couldn't boot the monkeys in the face after all...but you have no idea how much I wanted to.
We spent the next day on the hop on hop off bus which was pretty cool and we got our bus ticket to Thailand sorted out so we could leave the next day.
We are heading to Ko Phangan for the full moon party.
(I'm a bit behind on my blogs but I'm currently house bound as I have a pretty serious skin condition so I will be inside all day everyday until it clears up)
