Hi All (before u say anything.. the picture above does not represent singapore, but there were no shopping malls in the drop down list)! So... we spent 2 full days in Singapore, arriving late at night and getting ourselves to what was advertised as a cool hostel on the internet, but when we arrived, we were in the middle of Singapore's red light district! Dirty little ho's. The hostel provided us with a refuge and a great fruity breakfast, fuelling us up for the hard shopping days ahead. Not much else to do in Singapore except shop, but we both picked us some bargains, lost about half a stone each... now adam is finally convinced that shopping is real exercise, as we girls have been trying to convince men all along! Found myself walking in the Gucci, YSL, Louis Vitton Mall, but my handbag wasnt quite fitting in, and i lacked the required teetering heels, and somehow my cut off combat trousers didnt quite look the part amongst all the small skirts that walked by! Needless to say my purse stayed tightly shut in that mall, but there were plenty of others for the low budget traveller! [Adam] Eating was a new experience too. Walk up some steps into what felt like the bottom floor of a multi-storey car park crammed with folk scoffing anything that can be cooked!!.....we walked around the 300 stalls offering food and settled for duck and goose....some oldboy stuck in a tiny metal shed hacking our duck and goose in pieces with a giant machette.....served with rice and some wierd sauces all for 1 quid each!!...bonza
