Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Dublin to Dingle Peninsula (Annascaul)
We began the day with a visit to the Guinness Storehouse and enjoy a complimentary pint of Guinness, a great way to begin the tour and make new friends!
We then make our way to the midlands of Ireland. We visit the beautiful Rock of Castle Dunamase, steeped in Irish legend in the Golden Vale, Ireland's finest agricultural land with its rolling fields and pastures fresh.
In the afternoon we stop at the beautiful heritage town of Adare with its fabulous thatched cottages, renowned for being regularly voted Ireland's tidiest town.
Tonight we stay in your very own Irish pub, the Randy Leprechaun on the Dingle Peninsula Where we include a complimentary Irish welcome drink.. Here we mix with the locals, and enjoy the characteristics of a genuine Irish small-village, away from the hustle and bustle. Pull up a stool by the fire or choose to dance the night away!
Notes
In Adare I managed to look into the heritage of my mums family, the McInerneys, and bought a few souvenirs.
While in Annascaul we dropped into the local pub, The South Pole, which was previously owned by an Antarctic Explorer/Hero named Tom Crean. Throughout the rest of my trip a book based on his life was a great read in all the downtime sitting on buses.
