Hello again!
So yesterday we actually got up early and went to stand in line for the Petronus Twin Towers. A free activity riding in an elevator that takes 1 second to cover 5 metres, to a bridge which joins the two towers, to look over the city. Of course no one tells you that you have to watch a film about the amazing company that is Petronas. It's one big PR event and to be fair, not being fans of cities the view didn't really do that much for us!
The rest of the day involved lots of walking around the park and through the streets on one or two other non-important errands and visits.
Today we decided we'd go to the bird park so that we could at least get a taste of the types of birds we would see in Borneo. Whilst enjoying lunch on the balcony several birds decided to join us and the other diners. A myner popped by and two hornbills, which managed to scavange a good amount of left overs. Not your typical dining experience!
Around the park we saw a good variety of exotic and colourful birds and also some more familiar creatures, such as the peacock. The park had several areas and many of the birds flew free, well as far as the netting would allow. Some of the highlights were feeding parrots, watching a parrot ride a bike while another rode a scooter (we're not joking) and of course our photo shoot during which Ruth's hair was under threat by a rather inquisitive toucan! All in all not a bad day out!
