Howdy,

We got back to the hotel in Merced where Louise just conked out on the bed because she was shattered from driving as we got back late, so we fuelled up on our microwavable burritos and had an early night because it was an early rise again because we were heading back to Monterey for some whale watching.

We had the free breakfast and left for Monterey and we headed back to the same motel we stayed at before because it was good and the breakfast was awesome. The weather held out for us and we decided to go in search of a whale watching company which was going to deliver us our whales. There were loads of companies along the pier and they all offered the same trip, all the recent sightings were listed on boards outside and they had seen sperm whales, killer whales and blue whales so we were pretty excited. Wwe chose our company based on cheapness and the owner looked and sounded like Adam Sandler, a recipe for success I here you say.

We set off and it was nearly a 3 hour trip so we weren’t too worried about not seeing one straight away but as the day went on............. not a thing!!! I started to get a bit anxious, I said to Louise in a passing comment knowing our luck we would be the only boat in the past month not to see a thing and Adam Sandler did say that we were 99.9% likely to see a whale. I was trying my darn hardest to spot one as well, it’s not like I was leaving it all to him, we did see dolphins but to be honest dolphin shmolfin...............boring!! They weren’t even the cute bottle-nose dolphins they were ugly as!!! Haha. As time went on the chance of seeing a whale was diminishing fast............ and I started to get bitter quite quickly taking it out on Lou for starters .............for suggesting such a stupid idea!!!......whale watching..... MUGS GAME!! Then my insults turned to the company on how it was a conspiracy. .............I bet they all post fake sightings of whales! Then my anger turned to the whales themselves....... big dumb fish.........it was a weekend so it could be there time off??? Oh well it wasn’t meant to be.... good job we didn’t pay a fortune for it anyway!

By night time me and Lou had a good old whinge, let off some steam and eventually turned our attention to VIVA LAS VEGAS!! That’s right people we are going back to Vegas again!! That’s what travelling is all about, the world is your oyster travel as you please. What’s not to love about Vegas, cheap rooms, cheap food, hot weather and a pool!! We would spend 5 nights here before heading off to NASHVILLE......can’t wait!!

The next morning we dropped the car off at San Jose airport where we flew to Vegas!!
