Rocked up to Guangzhou about 05:20ish - far too early to be churpy and think our tired moods rubbed off on others, as everyone seemed a little rude. The first taxi driver we spoke to asked for 40 yaun, which we got down to 30 yaun, but he wouldn't go any lower. Continue Tuesday 10th November - ARRIVED IN GUILIN It was quite a trip and we arrived after dark. Feeling hungry Ad grabbed a parcel covered in banana leaf as a snack. It contained rice and beans, was ok a bit salty for my liking. Got a cab to the Breakfast Backpackers hostel and managed to get in a dorm room for the night. A nice chilled out place with many tourists lounging in the café area in front of reception. We dumped our bags and headed out to the town....

Monday 9th November - THE MOST UPSETTING WALK OF MY LIFE Had yet another delicious breakfast, we discussed what to do for the day. As we didn't fancy doing any of the touristy bits and had seen most of the surrounding areas, we decided to move on. Said our goodbyes and thanked them for such a great stay, really loved it here. Saturday 7th November - MOVING ONTO YANGSHUO Was feeling a little yucky today - not looking forward to the journey ahead at all, but at least it wasn't far away. Wednesday 4th November - ARRIVED IN GUILIN - ONTO YANGSHUO - THEN XINGPING Heard people up and about around 7:30ish, but stayed in bed for as long as poss and didn't get up till 9ish - LAZY - who cares. Had apple and peanuts for brekky - HEALTHY! Read up with Ad about the area we are moving onto, watched bit of 27 dresses on ipod and wrote in diary, all to keep ourselves occupied.
