Hi everyone it has been a while since our last postcard because we haven't been able to find an internet station. From Airlie beach we drove to Makey and only spent one night there as Makey itself was nothing special. The following day we decided to take a drive down the Pioneer Valley where we stopped to look at the Broken River, which was a bit of a dissappointment due to the lack of a river worth seeing being there. Yesterday we went on a boat trip to three of the Whitsunday Islands. The first stop was at Hook Island where we went on a semi-submersible boat to view the marine life but as it went the water was at high tide so we did see that much. We also snokelled amongst the fish as they were being feed, I (Charlotte) was a bit nervous of the fish around me and also managed to crash into the fish feeder's boat. Hi from Airlie Beach, Managed to get away from Townsville finally and we stopped off at Bowen for a night on our way to Airlie Beach. Bowen had very nice beaches and coves and we ended up stayed at a camp site at Horseshoe bay for one night. Check out the car!! We went over to Magnetic Island from Townsville yesterday (Wed) and hired out our very own pink princess which Adam wants you to know wasn't his choice. Complete with pink steering wheel we explored the Islands many bays and paddled in its seas. However our plan to go swimming and snokelling was abandoned as there were too many stingers in the water. Hello from the Campers, Finally left Cairns and started on our way down the East Coast. We took the scenic root up the mountains and stopped at a few places on the way.
