This postcard is dating back a few days because we have been busy. We wrote our last postcard from Bundaburg, and since then we have travelled to Harvey bay and have been on a two day tour of Frazer Island which was totally fantastic!! So let us tell you about our Fraser Island experience. On the first day we went to Central Station which was the centre on the logging camp and took a walk through the semi rainforest know as Pile Valley. Here is a little fact for you: this is one of only a few rainforests in the world which grows on sand! In the afternoon we went to Lake Wabby. To get there we had to walk 2km over Sandblows (sand dunes). At the end of it was Lake Wabby, the only window lake on the Island which was green because of the grass that has grown on the sand under the water. Included in our trip was a night at the Eurong Beach Resort which is where we had our meals...Adam enjoyed the food and especially his fry up in the morning but he was disappointed that we did not have a tv in our room. Day two started with a long drive down seventy-five mile beach (which is an actual road on the Island) to Indian Head. After the climb up there which we did not do in flip-flops, we could see the view of the beach and even marine life, although we did not see any. I forgot to mention it was raining on day two for most of the day!! Driving back down the beach we stopped at the coloured sand cliffs, the Maheno Shipwreck and finally at Eli Creek. Even though it was raining we stipped off into our swimmers and waded down Eli Creek which was 35 degrees (F)...so pretty cold. The highlight came after lunch...Lake McKenzie. On a sunny day this would be bliss but on a rainy day it was still a wonderful Lake. We went for a swim here in the cold water and it was nice that the water was so clear. Well we could go on for hours about this trip but we have got to go as the internet cafe is shutting. Goodbye Goodbye Charlotte and Adam
