Since our flight to Senegal (our last African country to visit) was out of Nairobi, we decided to debrief a bit of our experiences with Mark and Annemarie Dye (our UWM area coordinators). After checking into the Jacaranda Creations guest house, we had time to share with the Dyes about our experiences in Uganda over a wonderful lunch of Ethiopian food (one of my new favorites!). The next morning we were to fly out to Senegal but were detained there for not having a visa before entering the country. So....we called back our driver (luckily he was still available) and the guest house (who still had room for us) and we headed back to Nairobi to get it sorted out. We ended up having to stay in Nairobi a few extra days before we could catch the next flight to Dakar Senegal. Sadly this was going to shorten our time in Sengal, but we took this time to refresh, and to get our laundry done. After such a busy trip, we needed the down time so we could give Sengal our full energy.
