I made to NZ again! Flight was a bit of a nightmare as I went to the wrong terminal...as it turned out Sydney to Auckland via Melbourne is classed as a Domestic flight-bloody stupid Ozzies! So after paying another $20 to get to the domestic terminal and thinking that I would miss my flight I finally rock up to check in. Everything ok, except that my Oz visa runs out before I fly back into the country-not a problem I tell the check in lady, as I'm going to renew it online this week. She then tells me that becuse it would be technically invalid for when I would be returning, they cannot check me into to todays flight to NZ until they have moved my other flight back (complicated-are you still with me). So it gets put back and I am able to get on my flight-phew! Get to Melbourne and the next flight to Auckland is the first one Virgin Blue have done to that destination. This means it's a party flight; free champagne, T-Shirts, party games and the crew dress up as dame Edna and Marge-hilarious!

Got to my hostel off Queens Street in Auckland pretty easily-good distance from the centre and lots to do. Unfortunately I spent most of my first day here at the police station filling out a crime report-as I thought I had had my camera stolen-luckily for me (as this would have been my 3rd gone) it was in the hire car at the airport-and they were able to get it over in the internal post from Sydney!

My last full day was spent doing a RYA Level 2 Powerboat course-thought it might help when I get back home and into diving again. Had to do things like prepare the boat, get it off and back on the trailer, come aside, more up, turning and man overboard drills-really good fun but very tiring!
