Hello, as you can see by the picture I managed to climb up to Machu Picchu!

I set off at 4am and climbed in the dark up the side of the moutain through the jungle to the top where Machu Picchu is situated. I managed to get there to watch the sunrise which was amazing and so peaceful. I however was very tired after one and a half hours climbing, You can probably tell from the photographs. Machu Picchu is awe inspiring it straddles a mountain 2,380 m and has steep terraced slopes which I climbed, leading down to a river which snakes below. Machu Picchu was a complete Inca city and for centuries was buried in the jungle. Can you tell me Who discovered Machu Picchu and when, sorry but there is no question mark key on this computer!
