It's a sea day with no plans to do anything. Well, almost no plans. We need to drop off our passports at 11:30am with Holland America. They will handle the immigration requirements for us in Iceland and Greenland. We also signed up for a wine tasting class at 2pm and we'll see how that goes.
Today I'm not feeling my best. I'm not up for much of a breakfast. I return to the room for a nap about 10am while Karen runs around the ship. That's not our normal routine. Normally, it's me doing the running around with her taking a nap. I accompany her to HAL for the passport submission, then upstairs for some lemonade. Returning to our room for a nap, we hang out there until almost 2pm before reporting to the dining room for our wine tasting event.
We're seated at a table for 10. Four glasses of wine are placed in front of each of us along with a small plate of cheese and fruit. We try the wines, one by one while the Sommelier explains the similarities and differences of each. It's interesting but really not our thing. At $30 for the two of us, it was entertaining at least. At the end, they make suggestions for wine package purchases. No thanks.
Returning to our room, we once again nap for a couple of hours before having dinner in the dining room. This is bad! It's like we're in a rest home. What's going on? Anyway, Mom has fish and I have chicken while sitting with a couple from Ottawa, Canada. After dinner, we go to the show where tonight Georgina Jackson sings and plays the trumpet, reliving the big band era. She's quite good, much better than the ship's singers. After, we call it a night. After all, we did have a tough day. Tomorrow we travel around Iceland with a group of eight people and we know some of them already. God knows, we'll be well rested.
I hope I can sleep tonight. I've been sleeping all day it seems. I'll try. Zzzzzzz.
