Today we went back to the "chorio" - the village Stan's dad grew up in -Soulanari. We met with Arthur's brother, Nick, and his wife as well as a visit to his aunty in a neighbouring village.

The girls were able to experience 'real Greece', true village life, just lie the rest of the world, young people are leaving villages to live in the cities. We also had some yummy home cooked food, pork so tender it just melted in your mouth.

Such a shame we can't speak Greek, makes it harder for Stan and difficult for us and the relatives to engage. They were happy to see us, but sad we dd not stay. Unfortunately not much to do there and very hot so we headed for beach resort town of Napflio. Very cute. Booking.com did well again as we have a cute pension attic room with space and kitchenette and balcony. Gorgeous town - perfect for wandering around at night. Lots of shops, taverns, cafes all in an old town in the shadow of an impressive fortress.

We thought there was going to be traditional Greek music but it was a more modern show, with the first set being songs from "Grease" not Greece.
