Thursday. While it would have been lovely to stay and enjoy all the Manor had to offer, we decided to check out downtown Portland. The light rail dropped us into the centre of town, and right near a multitude of food vans, Portland is famous for. Vans sold a huge variety of food from almost every country imaginable, except Australia haha. The wonderful aromas had me dying to try something even though I had just eaten breakfast. We ended up getting 3 small soft tacos with a variety of fillings to share.
Portland City was a lovely relaxed, very people friendly place, with lots of mature trees and green parklands. Microbreweries kept the guys busy while Amanda and I hit Anthropologie for a wardrobe update.
After a late afternoon bite at a Vietnamese restaurant, we ventured along to the riverside walk and came across the annual Portland Blues Festival, with lots of market stalls and great music.
Walking throughout the city had taken its toll, so we caught a cable car to have a look at some other parts of the city and near city homes. A very impressive town.
Back at Edgefield it was time to try out the soaking pool, sample the outdoor movie (original Jaws) and have another drink and bite to eat. Another day down.
