After a good rest I did manage to visit Burgos Cathedral. It's hard to describe the sheer enormity of the building. It seems even bigger because of its close proximity to the smaller shops and hotels around it. Totally on my own today which is probably a good thing. Have just walked through some of the most hideous industrial estates and Burgos airport to get to the centre and the old town.
