Next I went to Noosa where I went for a mahoosive run along the coast and through the everglades stumbling across a nudist beach and spotting a wild koala along the way. The next day I took a trip to the famous Australia zoo, home of Steve Urwin, the crocodile hunter and most enthusiastic man to ever come out of Australia. I over excitedly watched his family give the main crocodile show, where his teenage daughter fed the crocs. The other highlights of my day were stroking a koala and kangaroo, seeing Taz and Dingos as well as the classic HUGE rock python and cute little piglets. I only just managed to resist buying a cuddly toy or trying to steal a koala. After my rather expensive zoo visit I caught the Greyhound to Brisbane where I met Hollie, my travel buddy from Halong Bay. She had kindly offered to take me in and show me around for a few days and after backpacking for two and a half months Hollie and her mum found it hilarious how excited I was about having fish and chips, a hot bath, despite Hollie's bath being only about a metre long which was short for even me, and using conditioner after going over 2 months without!!! By the next morning I felt like I was living in luxury after having a whole double bed to myself and being stuffed with food by Hollie at every opportunity. Sadly the weather was not as generous and after we met up with Lisa we went into Brisbane city with our umbrellas myself sporting a hilarious children's Harry Potter umbrella I had in fact insisted on borrowing from Hollie. We wandered around the drizzly city and took a city catamaran before going for some delicious Thai food and then stopping off at the supermarket where I was again spoilt, this time by Lisa who insisted I tried a cream egg, caramel koala and also buying me an Easter bunny. If I wasn't already about to burst the huge roast Hollie cooked and a selection of cake for desert would finish me off. The next day all three of us set off on a wild goose chase of a road trip with no sat nav or real directions we eventually arrived at where we had intended to go after numerous U-turns, at least one of which was at the top of an adjacent mountain. Here we saw loads of wild parrots which we fed and were quickly swarmed with them on our arms and heads. Afterwards we went on a tree top walk accidentally on purpose terrifying a girl by walking rather enthusiastically across the suspended walk way behind her. We then had our little picnic that Hollie's mum had kindly put together for us before starting our road trip back. After saying goodbye to Lisa, Hollie and I had a quiet night in before it was time for me to pack up my freshly washed clothes and don the backpack again before Hollie's mum put me on the bus, without a ticket...saying if a ticket inspector comes on board you've lost your purse and you're going back into town to collect it...despite the fact I had three bags which would make it pretty hard for me to lose anything but you don't ask questions when it comes to a free ride...
