Day 2 at l'école (school) :)
Maïwenn had an excursion so she wasn't there all day so I spent the day with some of her friends who are in my classes, Marine and Annaiss:) they are so lovely and both speak English! Yay!
Annaiss returned in June from one year in South Africa so she is pretty much fluent! How cool!
I also met two girls Clar and Elizé, they had such an interest in Australia and me, it was so nice:) they were asking about the food we eat, and the animals we have, if we surf and how good looking the boys are. Was a good conversation!
An Omelette was on the menu for lunch today with pineapple for dessert! C'est bon! :)
I had my first English class today. Everyone else had a test so the teacher told me to start putting together a presentation all about myself, where I come from and the differences I have noticed since I have been here compared to Austalia :) it has to go for about 10-15 minutes (don't like the idea of it going for that long haha!!) and I will present it before Christmas some time:)
My correspondent lady from the company I went through came to our house tonight to introduce herself. She was lovely, and is organizing an ice skating trip for all the Australian's that are here!:) there are about 10 more coming in about 6 weeks, so that should be fun!
We went to my host family's neighbors house for a drink tonight, that eventually turned into dinner. They were a cute older couple that adored Australia. The man had an Akubra hat that he got out and showed me. It had a small opal on the side and 'Coober Pedy' written on the inside, so I was able to explain to him about where the opals come from:)
Also tried my first French wine tonight! I tried two different 'vins des roses' (pink wine), the first was pretty average but the second wasn't too bad!!
On Wednesday's in France you only have school in the morning, so only a four hour day tomorrow rather than the usual ten! Woohoo! :D
