Hello everyone! Thanks for all you messages it is nice to hear from people. Chantelle I am glad you got to see Stanley and had a good sleepover! We got a bus from Vang vieng to the capital Vientiane. We got the public bus as it is a lot cheaper than all the "VIP" buses the guesthouses do. It was again a long hot journey, there was even a duck on board! The driver kept stopping to buy food off markets as well. Vientiane is quite a starnge place with it's own arc de triumphe! Again lots of french places to eat and cafes. We spent a long time in a scandinavian cafe enjoying hot coffee, cakes, baguettes, ice tea etc.. was such good food and a good place to people watch. That evening we went into a bar and saw the irish couple from our trek! Very random, so we had a few drinks with them and their friends. They seem to familiar already. The next night we decided to go for some french cuisine which was expensive but really tasty. By this time our week in Laos was up and time to move on, we would definitely like to go back and some some of the things we missed one day. So the plan; Get bus to Thailand across border, get to station, get overnight train to bangkok, get train to chumpon, get boat to ko tao!
How is everyone at home? Happy fathers day for tomorrow dads! x x x x
