I showed Darryl the picture of the hostel you stayed in. We had never seen one before, and we so surprised to see what they looked like. Darryl was so shocked. He said, Oh my, I could never stay in that. I on the other hand thought it was cool. So then, Darryl asked, Is Rick staying in a hostel. I had to laugh. LOL!

Annie brought by some presents yesterday and told the other granny babysitter that you were going to Europe. I didnt realize you were already there.

Wish I could be there, too. My absolutely favorite spot is Salzburg Austria with the down mattresses and comforters.

in 1972 I spent 11 weeks in Europe and the total cost was 900 dollars including airfare and souveniers. I kept a journal and documented every cent., England was the most for hostel it ws 3 dollars there

We spent every third night on the train where we had passes and saved a nights pay. We made sandwiches at the hostels and ate them for lunch so our only meal was supper. If the weather was bad in one place we just hopped on the train and went to sun.

Grandpa Abe Lee had made a map for me of where he walked and rode in the train to prison. It was really weird seeing the ferris wheel from my train that he saw from the prison train, or walking where he had his feet frozen in the death march.

I am so proud of you for graduating and for making such a great adventure for yourself! How great that it started on my birthday! Cant wait to see the daily updates.

Finally we have electricity, but no cable or telephone at our house still, so I will check your blog when babysitting JJ at Tracys.
