This is the tomb to three of the Medici brothers. The Medici was the family that ruled central Italy (the Florentine region) from the 13th through the 17th centuries. This is the tomb dedicated to Cosimo, Giulio and Giovanni (I think) Giulio was the also Pope Clement VII.
