So...I suppose you guessed - we're not actually dead.
We arrived in Lauterbrunned at midnight not sure whether we could check into our hostel or even where it was. Luckily for us, Lauterbrunnen's not that big. We found a local pub, only to be told that where we were supposed to be staying would actually be shut already. Luckily for us, they had a couple of beds spare. We couldn't see much of Lauterbrunnen at all that night but upon awakening we realised that it was very close to being the most beautiful place either of us had ever seen. Lauterbrunnen is a little village in the Swiss Alps completely surrounded by mountains with waterfalls cascading down the mountains directly behind the village. The buildings are all very Swiss and set amidst fields of wildflowers (and Swiss cows and goats). May seem like we're exaggerating and being overly lyrical about this place but it was absolutely gorgeous and I would definitely recommend pretty much anyone going there.
The next day, we woke up and found our hostel (the one we were actually supposed to be staying at) only to get abused by the owner for not arriving the previous day or calling them (which we did, twice, me once and Sarah also). However, this could not ruin Switzerland for us. Although the rain also tried.
We spent the next 2 days staying in a cabin, very Swiss, very cool. I felt like Heidi. We explored and walked and hiked and ate Swiss chocolate and cheese. That's actually pretty much all we did. But lot's of it. And we patted Swiss goats. Awesome!
And then this morning it was off to Munich...
